We started Return2SA because too many talented South Africans felt they had to choose between their international career and coming home. We do not think that is a fair choice, so we built a way around it.

Our story

The bridge between two countries.

Return2SA was founded as part of the R² Group, which already connects South African talent with opportunities in the Netherlands and beyond. Along the way, we kept hearing the same story in reverse: professionals abroad who loved their jobs, but missed home. Family, climate, community, pace of life.

Resigning and starting a job search from scratch felt like too high a price to pay. So we built the Employer of Record model that lets people relocate to South Africa while keeping the job, the employer, and the income they already have.

We know the route, the paperwork, and the people. We have helped professionals through the uncertainty on both sides, and we understand what matters most when you are weighing up a decision this big.

Our goal has always been simple: make it possible for South Africans abroad to come home without sacrificing the career they have built. Having worked with South African professionals in the Netherlands for over seven years, we have seen first-hand what that journey looks like and what it takes to make it work.

We have handled every step ourselves. The contracts, the payroll, the tax compliance, the employer conversations. So when you use Return2SA, you are not navigating something untested. You are following a route we already know well.
